Diwali Specials 2013: Mumbai to Delhi & Central Zones

Central Railway (CR) and Western Railway (WR) will run special trains between Mumbai and Delhi this Diwali season via Vadodara – Kota and Nashik – Bhopal respectively. In addition to that, CR will run special trains between destinations in Maharashtra and surrounding states for Diwali and Chhath Puja festivals. Here are details. MUMBAI – DELHI SECTOR DIWALI FESTIVAL SPECIALS

02109/02110 Mumbai LTT – Delhi Nizamuddin – Mumbai LTT AC Superfast Special (CR)

(via Bhusawal, Bhopal, Gwalior) Timetable and Days of Operation:

• 02109 fully AC Superfast weekly special train will leave Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus LTT to Delhi Nizamuddin NZM at 1430 on Tuesdays October 15 and 22 2013.
  Timings: NK: 1730, BPL: 0210 (Wed), AGC: 0757, arrives NZM at 1020 (Wed).
• 02110 fullyAC Superfast weekly special train will leave from Delhi Hazrat Nizamuddin NZM to Mumbai Kurla LTT at 1550 on Wednesdays October 16 and 23 2013.
  Timings: AGC: 1759, JHS: 2032, BSL: 0540 (Thu), NK: 0820, arrives LTT at 1150 (Thu).

(via Vadodara, Kota) Timetable and Days of Operation:

From Mumbai Central BCT to New Delhi NDLS at 1945 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays.

• 09003 will leave on Tuesdays, Saturdays October 15, 19, 22, 26, 29, November 2, 5, 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, 26, 30.
• 09005 will leave on Wednesdays, Sundays October 16, 20, 23, 27, 30, November 3, 6, 10, 13, 17, 20, 24, 27.
  Timings: ST: 0010, BRC: 0200, RTM: 0615, KOTA: 0940, MTJ: 1510, arrives at NDLS at 1735.

From New Delhi NDLS to Mumbai Central BCT at 2340 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Sundays, Mondays.

• 09004 will leave on Sundays, Wednesdays October 16, 20, 23, 27, 30, Nov 3, 6, 10, 13, 17, 20, 24, 27, Dec 01.
• 09006 will leave on Thursdays, Mondays October 17, 21, 24, 28, 31, November 4, 7, 12, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28, 2013.

Route and Stoppages: Borivali, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Bhavani Mandi, Ramgunj Mandi, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Hindaun City, Bharatpur, Mathura Jn.

The two trains with different rakes run the same slot, stoppages and timings effectively making it a 4-day a week train. WR claims 05/06 to be a Mumbai – Delhi “Rajdhani type” special express, though expect only the fully Air-Conditioned LHB rake of the Rajdhani with much reduced speed (hauled by a WAG7?) and no pantry.

  Timings: Arrives NZM at 2350.
