New Timetable for 2013-14 – Southern Railway

Southern Railway (SR) has published the salient features of its timetable for 2013-14 to be included in the Trains at a Glance (TAAG) 2013. This is only about changes for existing trains, click here for details of new trains announced. Most changes are already in effect. Please confirm all these with official sources, the data below is only for your information.

Existing Trains on SR: Changes in Timings/Days of Service/Timetables

16316/16315 Kochuveli – Bangalore – Kochuveli Tri-WeeklyExpress

• Will run now 6 days a Week on all days other than Wednesday from KCVL and on Thursdays from SBC.
• 16315 will depart at 1715 from SBC to reach Kochuveli at 0900 in the morning instead of 0925 now.
• 16316 will leave from Kochuveli at 1650 instead of 1605 as it does now to reach Bangalore at 0835.
• Both 16315 and 16316 will stop at Bangalore Cantonment, Krishnarajapuram and Bangarapet.
• Timings of 16315 Bangalore – Kochuveli at Bangalore Cantt: 1730; at KR Puram: 1740; at Bangarapet: 1830.
• 16316 from Kochuveli to Bangalore will reach Bangarapet at 0645; Krishnarajapuram at 0745 and BNC at 0805.

16688/16788 Jammu Tawi – Mangalore/Tirunelveli Navyug Express

• Slowed down by 5 hours to arrive at Mangalore at 2245 on Sundays and at Tiruneveli at 0030 on Mondays!

12692 Sri Satya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam – Chennai Central – SSP Nilayam Weekly Express

• Slowed down to depart SSP at 1830 on Saturdays instead of Sundays as it is now. Will reach Bangalore at 2213 on Saturdays and Chennai Central at 0515 on Sundays.

16057/16058 Chennai Central – Tirupati – Chennai Central Saptagiri Express

• 16057 Tirupati Saptagiri Express will leave Chennai Central at 0625, departs Renigunta at 0915 instead of 0910 and will arrive at Tirupati at 0940 instead of 0930
• 16058 Chennai Saptagiri Express will depart Tirupati at 1755 instead of 1720 to arrive/depart Renigunta at 1815/1830 instead of 1740/1750 and will arrives Chennai Central at 2135 instead of 2035

16053/16054 Chennai Central – Tirupati – Chennai Central Express

• 16053 Tirupati Express will leave Chennai Central at 1410 instead of 1350 to arrive/depart Renugunta at 1700/1715 instead of 1630/1635 and will arrive at Tirupati at 1740 instead of 1700
• 16054 Chennai Central Express will leave Tirupati at 1010 instead of 0955 to arrive/depart Renigunta at 1030/1045 instead of 1015/1020 to arrive at Chennai Central at 1350 instead of 1315

16204 Tirupati – Chennai Central (Garudadri) Express

• Leaves Tirupati at 0720 instead of 0620, arrives/departs Renigunta at 0740/0810 instead of 0640/0710 and arrives at Chennai Central at 1130 instead of 1030

12643 Trivandrum – Nizamuddin Swarna Jayanti Express departs from TVC at 1445 instead of 1420.
16309 Ernakulam – Patna weekly Express will leave Ernakulam Jn at 1710 instead of 1640.
16311 Bikaner – Kochuveli Express will depart from Bikaner Jn at 2040 instead of 2025.
16335 Gandhidham – Nagercoil Weekly Express will arrive at Nagercoil Jn at 0655 instead of 0740.
16779 Tirupati – Rameshwaram Express will arrive at Rameshwaram at 0845 instead of 0915.
16604 Trivandrum – Mangalore Maveli Express will leave TVC at 1830 and arrive at MAQ at 0800.
16606 Nagercoil – Mangalore Ernad Express will reach Mangalore at 1720 instead of 1735.
16528 Kannur – Yeshwantpur Express will arrive at Yeshwantpur at 0740 instead of 0755.

Service Route Extension of Express and Passenger Trains

12605/12606 Chennai Egmore – Tiruchchirappalli Pallavan Express to Karaikudi (Daily)

• 12605 from Chennai Egmore at 1545, leaves Trichy at 2135, arrives Karaikkudi at 2325
• 12606 leaves Karaikkudi at 0430, leaves Trichy at 0630, arrives Chennai Egmore at 1210
• Stops between Tiruchirappalli and Karaikkudi: Pudukkottai only.

12082/12081 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kozhikode Jan Shatabdi Express to Kannur

• Date of Extension to Kannur: from August 01 2013
• Runs only 5 days a week, extended for all 5 days.
• 12082 will leave Trivandrum at 1420, Kozhikode at 2155, reaches Kannur at 2330
• 12081 will leave Kannur at 0445, Kozhikkode at 0615 reaches TVC at 1345
• Days of service to Kannur: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
• Days of Service from Kannur: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
• Stops between Kozhikode and Kannur: Vadakara and Thalasserry

• 16857 will leave Pondicherry at 1635 on Saturday and Trichy at 2050 to reach Mangalore at 0950 on Sundays
• 16858 will leave Mangalore Central at 1650 on Sundays and Trichy at 0525 to reach Puducherry at 1000

• Wed, Sun from Madurai and Mon, Fri from Dehradun/Chandigarh.

12217/12218 Trivandrum Kochuveli – Chandigarh – Kochuveli Kerala Sampark Kranti from Weekly to Bi-weekly

• Mon, Sat from Kochuveli and Wed, Fri from Chandigarh.

Passenger Trains Frequency Increased

56312 Tirunelveli – Nagercoil, 56325 Nagercoil – Kanyakumar, 56321 Kanyakumari – Tirunelveli Passenger trains

• Frequency increased from 6 Days a Week to Daily.
